A 1999 graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis Mo, Dr. Confer came back to her home town of Red Oak in December 2000. Born and raised here, she chose to leave St. Louis and start her practice.
As a Logan graduate, Dr. Confer had a wide array of Chiropractic techniques to chose from. Her core technique is called Gonstead.
This technique was orignated by Dr. Clarence Gonstead from Wisconsin. He was one of the original doctors to use a Nervo-scope or Temposcope to find subluxations in the human spine. A subluxation is defined as a misalignment in the human spine that causes pain or discomfort.
This scope uses a heat signature that eminates in the spine to pinpoint the area in question.
The Nervo-scope is so sensitive that it detects even minor swelling. This scope is used throughout the entire length of the spine and detects not only which side but also how much swelling is found.
